Yes, you can mix different shades of Hair Building Fibers. In fact, it is often encouraged to mix different shades in order to find the closest match to your own color, especially when working with blonde or gray hair. The product can be mixed directly in the hair (use the lighter color first, and then layer the darker color over it).

Toppik Hair Fibres move when too many fibres are applied. When applied to the scalp, the keratin protein forms a bond with the hair strand locking them in place. If there are too many fibres and the hair is too thin, there is very little the Toppik Hair Fibres can bond with. Excess fibres with no-where to bond to will move freely.
This can be alleviated in two ways. First, by simply using less Toppik Hair Fibres. Second, and more efficiently, by using the Toppik Fibrehold Spray, which keeps the fibres in place working as a static based glue.
Clumping is usually due to applying the fibres on wet hair. Your hair is a lot more stable when it is dry as it expands when it is wet. Toppik Hair Fibers were scientifically developed for dry hair. When your hair is wet and expanded, the fibres will still join to the hair follicle, but as the follicle dries it begins to contract, putting pressure on the keratin bonds and snapping them.
Always place Toppik Hair Fibres on dry hair.
Yes. Toppik is designed to be safe with all medications as it is an effective yet entirely cosmetic solution to your thinning hair. It is always recommended to consult your doctor if you have any specific questions.
Unfortunately, Toppik is ineffective on individuals with no hair. Toppik works by adhering to existing hair on the head and is most effective when used in conjunction with thin or thinning hair. Without some existing hair, the Fibers will not stay in.
Toppik works great with all types of hair, ethnic hair included. In fact, the texture of the Fibres matches very well with the texture of ethnic hair.
It is strongly recommended not to go swimming with Toppik Fibres in your hair. One of the advantages of Toppik is its ability to wash out in the shower. This feature does, however, rule out swimming while using the product.
Toppik will not come off on clothes or pillows. Once applied, the Toppik Fibers will be locked to your existing hair, ensuring a long-lasting look of thickness. You will need to use shampoo to completely remove the Toppik from your hair.
If the spray applicator nozzle becomes clogged, it's a simple fix:
- Soak the Nozzle: Remove the nozzle from the spray bottle and soak it in warm water for a few minutes.
- Clean the Nozzle: Use a soft brush, such as a toothbrush, to gently scrub the nozzle and remove any remaining hair fibers or debris.
- Rinse and Dry: Rinse the nozzle thoroughly with warm water. Allow the nozzle to dry completely.
- Check for Blockages: Ensure there are no blockages in the spray tube. You can use a small pin to clear any persistent blockages inside the tube.
- Test the Applicator: Reattach it to the bottle and test the spray.
