This Sunday marks the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, and that means in many places people will be moving their clocks one hour forward. Sure, that means more sunlight in the evening, but it also means getting up an hour earlier in the morning! In light of these changes, it can be tempting to forgo styling your hair for a little extra sleep. Luckily, these quick & easy hair styling tips will save you time so you can have beautiful hair AND get your beauty sleep!
1. Wash Your Hair at Night
Maybe it goes without saying that washing your hair at night will save you time in the morning, but there’s also another huge benefit. Without your morning time crunch, you can let your hair air dry which is MUCH healthier for your hair in the long term.
2. Style the Night Before
There are many different ways you can wear your hair to bed to assure that you’ll wake up with great hair, and not bedhead! For example, wrap your hair into a loose bun for curls or braid for textured waves.
3. Cut Down on Blow Drying Time
The key to cutting down on blow drying time is make sure your hair is mostly dry first. Using an absorbent towel, squeeze as much moisture out of your hair as possible. Air dry or rough dry your hair with your fingers until it’s about 90% dry, then spend a few minutes smoothing with a brush. SO much easier, right?
4. “Micro Wash” Your Hair
If you find that you need to wet your hair in the morning in order to style, simply rinse your head under the sink for a minute. This works especially well for bangs and short hair.
5. Dry Shampoo
Skip washing your hair altogether and fake clean hair with dry shampoo. Simply spray at the roots, blow dry, and brush out.
6. Apply Fibers the Night Before
If you use Toppik Hair Building Fibers to fill in areas of hair loss or clean up an uneven part, try applying Fibers before bed instead of in the morning. Hair Fibers will stay in your hair overnight and won’t come off on your pillow. That’s one less thing to worry about in the morning!
7. Only Style the Front
Focus on styling the face-framing pieces of your hair and let the rest go. You’ll still look polished and will save so much time!
